Use A Potato Masher To Break Up Lean Mince

Lean meat has less fat and, as a result, may clump together while browning. A potato masher is designed to break up large chunks of food at once, and I’ve found it works well in this situation. Just press down a few times in the pan and the masher compresses the meat into small bits that cook quickly and evenly.
