Make Your Own Reusable, Pretreated Cleaning Rags

Want an easier way to keep things clean? Weblog One Good Thing By Jillee offers a technique make your own ready-to-clean rags which can be reused, are better for you than store-bought options, and are more economical.

You’ll need:

  • 3 rags
  • 3 cups hot water
  • 2 Tbls liquid soap
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 Tbls borax
  • 20 drops essential oils (10 drops of Lavender and 10 drops of Melaleuca for their antibacterial, antiseptic and antifungal properties.)
  • 1 glass jar

Put the rags in the jar, mix all the ingredients and pour them into the jar, seal it! When you need to clean, just open and grab one, and close the jar again. You might want to keep two jars like this ready so that when one runs out, you can use the other and refill the first.
