iOS: Taking a decent picture of your toddler actually looking at the camera is a task that comes with a lot of, “Hey. Hey! Look right here! Look at the Camera!” Look Birdy can help get their attention using bird sounds and the flash on your phone to draw their focus.
The app’s creator, Ben Keenan, is a dad himself and wanted something to make taking pictures of his daughter easier. Tired of snapping his fingers above his phone, he developed Look Birdy with his friend Rhys Sullivan. Keenan thinks the flash is great for grabbing attention:
It turns it into an attractor whilst making attention grabbing bird noises that magically attract little eyeballs to get kids looking in photos. No longer will you have to publicly humiliate yourself in an attempt to get your precious children to look at the freakin’ camera, Look Birdy does this for you.
If you’re having trouble getting that perfect shot of your adorable, little one, Look Birdy might be worth a shot. For now, the app is available on iPhone, but it’s unknown whether they plan to bring the app to Android as well.
