G.lux Adjusts The Colour Temperature Of Chrome To Reduce Eye Strain

Chrome OS: You’re probably familiar with F.lux, the popular eye-saving utility that we’ve discussed a lot here at Lifehacker. G.lux is a Chrome extension that brings some of the same F.lux features to Chrome.

F.lux is available on Windows, Mac, Linux and jailbroken iPhones, but not on Chromebooks. G.lux fills some of the void by offering seven colour temperature presets for Chrome: tungsten, halogen, fluorescent, daylight, black, white and custom. The main drawback of G.lux is that it doesn’t switch temperatures automatically, although the developer says that it’s “coming soon”.

The G.lux extension isn’t a perfect solution, but your eyes will thank you for it if you’re using a Chromebook. Hit the source link to give it a try.
