Mac: Putting your to-do list in a plain text file has a lot of advantages, but it helps to have an app that makes those notes easier to manage. If you're on a Mac, TodoTxtMac is a great option.
Todo.txt, created by Lifeahcker's founding editor Gina Trapani, is still one of our favourite to-do list managers. Plain text is a great way to manage your to-dos, and Todo.txt's command-line app is easy to use. But if you prefer something with a graphic interface, TodoTxtMac is a good alternative. Just like the command line, you do almost everything through the keyboard, and you can add new tasks, organise them via priority or category, and complete tasks all with keyboard shortcuts. You can see some examples in the video above.
