These DIY Belt And Scarf Organisers Save Space In Small Wardrobes

Wardrobe space comes at a premium in most homes and apartments, so you have to make the most of what you get. Kelly at View Along the Way shows us how she made these slide-out organisers for belts, ties, scarves more that fit in tight spaces and slide out when you need them.

The image above is the one she made for scarves, which fits neatly behind anything else hanging in the same space, and can slide out when she wants to wear a scarf. The organisers are essentially hooks and hangers mounted on wooden boards, which are themselves mounted on sliding rails that match the size of the wall behind it. They look great, and they’re a smart way to make productive use of otherwise unused wall space in a storage-challenged space.

You can make these pretty easily with items you can get at any hardware store. You’ll have to measure your own wardrobe space carefully to make it work, but the sliding rails, the hooks, and the mounting brackets and wood are all easy to come by, and it’s simple to customise this to your space. Hit the link below for a full walkthrough of her project so you can get ideas for your own.
