Build A Space-Saving Multi-Utility Desk From A Single Sheet Of Plywood

The HomeMade Modern blog built a multi-utility desk out of a single sheet of plywood that will make you want to rush out and buy it. Except you can't buy it. But you can make it.

As the blog explains:

In a small apartment, a desk is used for many things. It's often more than just a workstation. It can double as a craft table, a dinner table for one, a make-up station or vanity and a place to store unopened bills. With the flip desk, I set out to create a small, simple desk designed for multi-tasking.

The project is labour- and time-intensive and you would need to know your way around tools. But if you are handy enough, or know someone who is, this is the kind of weekend project that can give you a fantastic space-saving desk with a whole lot of utility.

The HomeMade Modern blog has every step of the project charted at the link below.

Lovely idea, but if you look at his finished product you can see the entire desk bows in the middle. The centre doesn't actually support the weight of the ply on the outsides.
