Turn An Aluminium Can Into A DIY Popcorn Popper

Turn An Aluminium Can Into A DIY Popcorn Popper

Sometimes you’re stuck in the bush with a bottle of vegetable oil, some popcorn kernels, and nothing to pop them with. Fortunately, with an aluminium can and a knife, you can be on your way to Popcorn Town.

Reddit user JordanCohen shows how you can turn a can into a popcorn popper. Start by cutting a hole in the side of the can and fold out the metal to create a makeshift chute. Pour in a bit of vegetable oil and some unpopped kernels. Place the can over heat and wait, bowl in hand.

It should be noted that any time you’re slicing into aluminium, you need to take care not to cut yourself. If you want a simpler method, you can always try the brown paper bag method .
