Financial blog WiseBread points out a number of tricks you can use to score better deals. Among our favourites:
- Be patient and vigilant. Sometimes, getting lucky just means waiting for good deals to come your way. But, it’s your job to not miss them when they happen.
- Use a checklist. When you need to buy something new, have an actual written checklist of places you can look for a better deal (Freecycle, Gumtree and so on) before you pay full price.
- Have fun with it. Sometimes, frugality isn’t just about saving money. It’s about the practice itself.
