The price of stamps goes up by 10 cents at the end of the month, but that’s not the only change coming. Australia Post is also increasing the cost of the special postage packs it offers to eBay sellers.
From 31 March, the price of the 500 gram flat-rate satchel will rise from $6.95 to $7.15. Flat rate boxes are also seeing an increase (from $2.35 to $2.40 for the smaller BX2 size, and from $3.25 to $3.35 for the larger BX4).
I can’t see any of these changes as massively scandalous. If a 20 cent rise in the cost of postage is going to destroy your eBay business, your margins must have already been ridiculously thin. The general package and Express Post rates is going up by somewhat more 8.6 per cent and 3.5 per cent respectively).

If a seller has options other than auspost, they’re usually the ones I choose anyway.
It’s annoying because I think $6.95 is expensive, people buying stuff off me for $10 are paying more than half the cost of the item in shipping. I do love the convenience of having it combined with eBay and just printing of a postage label without any effort! you win some, you lose some.
