Choose Your Booze: The Alcohol In Wine Compared To Alcoholic Drinks

Not all alcoholic drinks are the same when it comes to alcohol content. Some wine varietals could, surprisingly, make you more drunk than other alcoholic drinks. This infographic ranks drinks by alcohol content so you know how much of a buzz that glass is really giving you.

The graphic comes from wine enthusiast site Wine Folly, and it compares different wine varietals against other alcoholic beverages. A few types of white wines have the same alcohol by volume (ABV) as most beers, but red wines have a much higher content. The ABV for vodka, whisky, and rum is much higher.

This is good to know when you prefer a certain type of drink but don’t want to get drunk too quickly (or at all).
