Capture Post-It Notes With Evernote Camera

We love Post-It notes. We love Evernote. So imagine our excitement at the new functionality in the Evernote app for snapping shots of Post-It notes and having them automatically tagged and sorted by colour.

Technically, you could always take pictures of your Post-It notes (or any other note) with the camera in the Evernote app and save it to Evernote, just like any other document. But the newest update in the Evernote app (for iOS, Android and Windows Phone) has a feature specifically designed to capture Post-It Notes.

If you’re snapping a pic of notes in one of four specific colours (Electric Yellow, Neon Pink, Electric Blue or Limeade), Evernote puts the image through extra processing=, such as correcting tilt and rotation, improving contrast and cropping out just the actual note so they show up nice and clean in Evernote.

Best of all, you can set notes taken of those four colours to be automatically tagged and sent to different notebooks. So, for example, you could have yellow Post-It notes tagged as important and be sent to a to-do notebook, or have green notes tagged as appointments and be sent to an appropriate notebook.

How sweet is that?
