Write Recipes On Jars For Easy Make-Ahead Mixes

Over the years, we have featured some cool make-ahead mixes you can keep ready for a quick-fix snack, such as a single-serving cake or this super simple hot cocoa mix. Jessica Fisher has a neat tip for such mixes: use dedicated jars and write the recipe on them.

There are two benefits to this. First, you can see when you are running out of your favourite mix and quickly whip up some more without having to hunt around for a recipe. And second, you never have to search for a jar when you’ve made your mix. It’s all right there.

Fisher recommends first searching for your favourite recipe and then labelling the jar. You should also note which wet ingredients need to be added later to it, and it’d also make sense to know how to create single-serving mixes.
