iOS: The seven-minute workout is a great way to get some activity. If you’re not fond of pulling up a website or looking at a graphic every time you want to get moving, QuickFit is a new app that guides you with HD videos, audio prompts and tips from professional trainers.
Quickfit isn’t the only app to put the seven-minute workout on your phone, but it’s one of the best looking and the most iterative. The app has launched with a “Quick Abs” exercise pack, with abdominal exercises to complete in your seven-minute workout period, complete with video to show you how it’s properly done, and audio prompts to help you move on to the next set of exercises. Over time, the developers plan to release additional exercise packs to help you mix up your routine. Handily, all of the exercises work with your body — no expensive equipment required.
Quickfit also features achievements, goal and progress tracking, and difficulty settings so you can get a workout that’s right for you and your body type. The app is available in the iTunes App Store for $0.99. Each new exercise pack will set you back $1.99 via in-app purchase, which is a bit of a bummer, but if the new exercises keep coming, we can see how it might be helpful to have some new ones to choose from when the old ones get stale.
