When you think of pegboards, you probably think of the ugly plywood and metal hook organisation systems mostly relegated to garages and workshops. Here’s an easy-to-make, dowel-based pegboard attractive enough for any room of the house.
The folks at Apartment Therapy show us the way on this one. You will need access to some basic power tools, like a drill and a saw, but the process is simple. Cut the backboard to its desired size. Measure spacing for your peg holes and drill them out with a spade bit that matches the size of your dowels. Cut dowels to length and assemble your board. Obviously, you’re not limited to a simple rectangle either. You could make it fit whatever space you have or create whatever funky shape your heart desires.
