Like Amazon’s existing solutions architect associate certification, the qualification is via an 80-minute online exam. There are also optional paid courses you can take to prepare for the exams; as a launch special, Amazon is offering 20 per cent off if you register before 31 March 2014.

Amazon launched its solutions architects certification in May last year. At that time, it said the developer and sysadmin certifications would be launched later in 2013. Its blog post announcing the new course says that it will introduce higher-level courses in the future.
