Skype Adds Floating Video Chat On Android Tablets

Android: Ever wish you could continue video chatting with someone while you do other things on your tablet? Skype feels you, man. So, the app has now added the ability to float a video chat over what you’re doing on Android tablets.

The update, which is currently rolling out to Android tablets, allows you to pop the video chat out, where it will occupy a small corner of your screen while you go about your business. Unfortunately, the feature doesn’t work on phones, although the limited screen real estate might mean it won’t ever arrive for smaller devices.
