20GB Of Space On SkyDrive Could Be Yours… If You Own A Windows Phone

It’s hard to say no to free cloud storage and Microsoft appears to be in a giving mood, seeing as it’s near Christmas and all. If you’re in the possession of a device running Windows Phone, you should probably check your inbox — you might find 20GB of free SkyDrive space waiting for you, courtesy of the company.

Before you get too excited, the offer isn’t magically active for simply having Windows Phone — you’ll receive an email from Microsoft if you’re eligible. There’s a screenshot of the email over at Engadget if you’d like all the details, but to summarise, you’ll get 20GB free for a year, as long as you activate the offer by January 31, 2014.

It’s certainly a nice gesture, but once the free space expires, you’ll have to cough up the cash to keep it going, which could be troublesome if you’ve put it to good use.
