Bitcoin Gets Its Own Black Friday Sale

This Black Friday, bargain hunters will be able to use their Bitcoin digital currency to snap up a range of exclusive products with savings of up to 65 per cent up for grabs. Here are some noteworthy deals we spotted.

“Bitcoin Black Friday is a holiday shopping extravaganza just for Bitcoin users,” the Bitcoin Black Friday website explains. “On November 29th, hundreds of merchants selling everything from web hosting to organic beer will offer special deals to anyone paying in Bitcoin.”

The site contains a growing list of deals exclusive to Bitcoin users that will be made available to the public at 12:01am in the US (4pm today, Eastern Standard Time).

Deals currently listed on the site include up to 65 per cent off PureVPN’s virtual private network service, 10 per cent off Raspberry Pi computers, Humble Bundle mobile gaming deals, 75 per cent off Monster Meg web hosting, 60 per cent off Fast-Hash’s Platinum Edition Bitcoin mining machine and various online charities.

The site will continue to add new deals during the 24-hour sale and you can sign up to receive email alerts when new deals go live.

It’s a pretty safe bet that some of these stores won’t ship internationally, although the site’s front page does gives a specific shout-out to international shoppers, which is promising.
