Rapidly ‘Wind’ Your Cables For Tangle-Free Headphones

We already have an in-depth guide to wrapping headphones, but we’re always open to new approaches. Corey Van Dyke offers up a tangle-free method we haven’t seen before — and it’s quite cool and incredibly easy.

First, hang your headphones so that the speakers and the plug are at the same level. Hold the two together in one hand, while holding the middle of the cord with your index finger. Wind your finger clockwise rapidly.

Now, fold it in half one more time — Van Dyke says the easiest way is by holding the centre of your doubled-up cord in your mouth. Now, holding this new centre with your hand, go counter-clockwise once and you’re done.

It’s better explained through the video than through words, so check out his short tutorial. As ever, We’d advise that you don’t wrap them too tightly or the coiling may damage the wires inside the cables.
