Where’s The Cheapest Place To Get A 2nd Gen Nexus 7 This Weekend?

Ah, shopping. Well, shopping for gadgets. It’s almost like weekends were designed to separate your dollars from your wallet, purse or other currency container of choice. If you’re in the mood for an Android tablet, particularly Google’s second generation Nexus 7, there are a couple local retailers selling it at a discount.

This article originally appeared on Gizmodo Australia.

Originally, the only store you could head to for the best price was Dick Smith, as Ausdroid’s Rob Pennefather spotted yesterday. For $279, a 32GB Wi-Fi version can be yours, though the offer is only valid until October 20. Which is tomorrow.

For comparison purposes, the refreshed Nexus 7 is $339 direct from Google.

It didn’t take long, however, for Officeworks to price match — if you wander over to its online store, you’ll find it’s being offered for $279 also.

If you’ve spotted it cheaper elsewhere, let us know, but for now, these are your best bets.
