Want to make a quick and easy hat stand that can double as a coat rack? All you need is a few basic IKEA components.

According to IKEA Hackers, you just need a LACK end table, BESTA legs, two packages (each) of BLECKA and BJARNUM hooks, and a few tools. With that you can create the simple rack you see above. The process is pretty obvious, but you can get full instructions on the IKEA Hackers post.

  • What kind of a world do we live in when you have a combination hat stand/coat rack? Good lord, Mavis will bullwinkle her jenny rogers down the blister bluster before she goes into a house without at least the basic necessities: One hat stand and One coat rack.
For shame, lifehacker. The quality of journalism has clearly slipped when you go around recommending a combination hat stand/coat rack willy nilly without at least asking somebody with some experience.
