Another month passes, another Patch Tuesday arrives. As with many Microsoft updates, it’s good news if you use Server Core and bad news if you use Internet Explorer.

A critical update for Internet Explorer affects all versions and all flavours of Windows, right up to the most recent releases. It’s also one of those more-often-than-not updates that requires a reboot. That allows IE-free Server Core administrators to feel smug, as they’re not affected.
