iOS 7 Is Coming On 18 September, Here’s What’s New

Ahead of the release of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c on 20 September, Apple will be releasing iOS 7 as an update for existing customers on Wednesday 18 September.

One new detail emerged during the announcement — “Share Sheets”, which offer easier social network sharing. We also had official confirmation of the Touch ID fingerprint reader support for the iPhone 5S.

Here’s the direct word from Apple on when the updates arrive:

iOS 7 will be available as a free software update starting on Wednesday, September 18 for iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, iPad mini and iPod touch (fifth generation).

Unsurprisingly, original model iPhones and iPads don’t score the update.
