Dick Smith Launches Post-Paid Mobile

During Dick Smith’s big media comeback event last month, one of the announcements made was the introduction of post-paid mobile phones. The service is now available from all Dick Smith outlets and includes flagship smartphones from the likes of Samsung, Nokia and Sony. Here are the details…

Dick Smith’s post-paid mobile plans are currently 3G only and are being offered through a partnership with Think Mobile. The range of Think Swift 3G Ultimate and Think Classic 3G plans use either part of the Telstra 3G network or the Vodafone 3G network.

“With the introduction of post-paid we can now offer customers a simple, one-stop shop for all their mobility needs; whether that’s post-paid, pre-paid, buying outright or 12 months interest free,” Dick Smith’s director of mobility Steve Toth said in a statement.

“Dick Smith makes technology easy to understand for customers, so we can help take the confusion out of comparing phone plans to make sure customers walk out with the right phone at the right price.”

Dick Smith chose to highlight two of its post-paid plans which is deems will be the most popular, each with their own selection of available handsets. Check out the table below for the full details:

If you can live without 4G coverage, the included allowances don’t seem too shabby when compared to similarly priced plans from Telstra.

For example, the $80 Everday Connect plan comes with $800 of free calls and 1.5GB of data, compared to unlimited standard calls and 4GB of data on a Swift 3G Ultimate plan for $60. We’ll keep you posted with more information as we get it.
