Smartphone stands are a dime a dozen, but a solid tablet stand is slightly harder to DIY on the cheap. Instructables user ArvidJense decided the best approach was to modify an old CD spindle.
ArvidJense uses just an X-Acto blade to cut out the shape needed for the tablet. Using some simple angles, the tablet can then rest in place in a number of different positions. It’s certainly not the prettiest thing in the world, but it’s functional and incredibly easy to make yourself. Head over to Instructables for the full guide.
