Bake Easy Homemade Dog Treats With Flour And Baby Food

Dog treats can get expensive, but you can create your own on the cheap with a very simple recipe that only requires two ingredients: flour and pureed baby food.

The folks over at Curbly came up with this money-saver. They say you only need the follow:

  • 2 cups 100 per cent organic whole wheat flour (or wheat germ, spelt, rolled oats, or a mixture of these, etc.)
  • 113g of pureed baby food — beef, blueberry, sweet potato, chicken — whatever. Just make sure there are no onions/onion powder in it. Avoid any with artificial preservatives (should be easy, most are just pureed veggies and water).

Beyond that, just preheat the over to 175°C, form the treats on a pan and stick ’em in for 20-25 minutes. For more information and the detailed recipe, check out the post over at Curbly.
