Repurpose An Aluminium Can Into A Camping Stove

Camping is all about packing light and minimising bulk. When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get much simpler than a lightweight stove made from an aluminium can and a bottle of alcohol.

As the video above demonstrates, you can create this simple stove with any size aluminium can, a pocket knife, and a bottle of fuel to burn. The stove can be used to cook food in a small pot or to boil water. For a small thing, it can burn pretty hot and as the video shows around 6:30, the flames can get pretty high so be sure to follow the instructions very carefully when constructing your stove, and don’t use this approach during any period of fire danger.
