iOS: Instagram has updated its iPhone app with support for landscape shooting and video stabilisation support for the front-facing camera.
The new landscape orientation mode supports both video and still pictures. Landscape mode doesn’t actually affect how pictures are displayed, but it’s handy if you’re used to holding your camera that way. The other part of the update adds support for video stabilisation when you’re using the front-facing camera.

“Landscape format is […] of which the width of the article is larger than the height”
Instagram images are square, therefore the definition of landscape does not apply. Holding your camera sideways doesn’t necessarily mean you’re shooting in a landscape orientation. It can just mean that you’re holding your camera sideways.
