Desktop computers suck in cool air and blow out hot air. Along with that air comes dust, pet hair, and whatever else you have floating around in your home. How often do pop open your desktop computer to clean out the gunk?
Along with all the other maintenance you should probably be performing on your computers — be they Windows, Mac or Linux — taking time to open the case once in a while and do a little spring cleaning is important. So, how about you?

I wanted to vote for “Every six months” but I wasn’t sure which of the two “Every six months” options was the real one. 😉
not sure if Every six months or Every six months???
Every 12 months for me.
Maybe like, once in its lifetime (< 2 years) ? If I have to change cases usually
How are those the only valid options lol
I can’t decide which option to pick! Six months or Six months?! The decisions killing me!
When it starts shutting down when I render video, I know that my video card is choking on dust.
Is it bad that I just stick the vacuum cleaner inside and suck everything out?
It seems to work 🙂
Every month or two, despite all the intake fans having filters it still picks up a lot of dust =/
Usually once every 2 months in Spring and Summer when there’s a potential for things to overheat
In Autumn and Winter, I don’t mind my computer warm up the room a bit
I’m guessing the second “Every 6 months” was actually 12 months. I selected that one.
Although, since building my PC a couple of years ago, I’ve opened it a few times and thought about cleaning it, but found it was pretty much dust free. Makes me love my case even more. Which is good because I spent an entire month deliberating over my choice.
