Carbon For Twitter Offers In-App Browsing, Image Viewing And Video

Android (4.0+): Previously mentioned Carbon is a solid, gesture-packed Twitter client for Android, and this week saw a huge update for the software. The new version adds in-app video playback, image viewing, and a built-in browser for quick-loading pages without leaving the app. It’s also much faster now.

In addition to the features we liked the last time we looked at Carbon, the app now includes a built-in lightweight browser so you don’t have to leave the app to preview web pages or read articles your friends link. It can play video from YouTube, Vine, and other sources right inside the app. Carbon now gives you control over how you retweet or quote, lets you choose notification frequency for each type of notification, and offers a new home screen widget.

Falcon Pro is our favourite Twitter app for Android, but sadly a dispute between Twitter and the app’s developer means you have to jump through hoops to use it. This update to Carbon makes it a worthwhile competitor. Hit the link below to give the new version a try.
