No iOS Office 365 For Australians Just Yet

Over the weekend, Microsoft officially launched a mobile iOS app for users of the Office 365 subscription suite, enabling basic viewing and editing of Office documents on iPhones and iPads. Unfortunately, it’s not yet available in the Australian iTunes store.

Microsoft has form in this department: we had to wait six months between the launch of the oneNote iOS app and its appearance in Australia. Comments from Microsoft staff on the launch blog post suggest that will be the case here too:

We are making sure everything goes smoothly for you by letting us poor Americans work out all the kinks first :). It’s coming soon to a market near you, so stay tuned and thanks for your patience.

We’ll translate that as “our backend payment systems could use some refinement”.
