Internode has long been a favourite of the Lifehacker crowd. The iiNet-owned ISP has announced that its in-person technical setup service, Techii has expanded beyond its initial Adelaide rollout to take in more capital cities — for a fee.
Techii is designed to simplify setting up and optimising home network services, with Internode charging a minimum $99 fee for a one hour consultation. That’s also the same amount of time that Techii techs will travel to get to you, so if you’re within an hour of the CBD, you’d be covered. Any additional time over that hour “may” be charged $22 for each additional half hour or part of a half hour. They won’t cover off any electrical or building work, so this is purely a play for setting up routers and any associated connected devices.
