Few IT pros enjoy documenting their projects or code, but that doesn’t mean it’s not important. As Business Insider points out, the ability and willingness to write things down is one of the hallmarks of a successful manager.

As well as making life easier for colleagues, written documents represent a commitment that can’t be easily wriggled out of. As Ben Horowitz explains:
