A survey of 130 Australian IT managers by Eaton Industries identified the need to monitor and manage data centre systems as the most consistent challenge. Rapidly expanding demand for data centres means that challenge is unlikely to disappear entirely, but making sensible use of automation to track data centre activity could certainly help.
Weirdly, patching wasn’t as unpopular — just 11 per cent identified security as a major challenge.
