Week Calendar Brings Simple Multi-Calendar Management To Android

Android: Week Calendar, one of our favourite calendar apps for the iPhone, has made the jump to Android. The app also brings its simple, gesture-based approach to managing multiple calendars along for the ride.

Week Calendar is designed for people who have multiple appointments to track. Creating new appointments is as easy as tapping and holding on the time of day. Moving or rescheduling appointments is as simple as tapping an appointment and dragging it where you want it to be, and you can even copy and paste appointments to create repeat events. When you just need to review your appointments, Week Calendar’s overview lets you glance at everyone you have coming up in a single view.

The app has a homescreen widget for quick access to your next appointments, and the app looks remarkably good. It’s not just an iOS port to Android — the app has been built for Android phones. Week Calendar isn’t perfect though: some reviewers at Google Play report crashes that I didn’t experience while I tested the app, so your mileage may vary. The developers are remarkably responsive to feedback though, so if you do run into trouble, they can help you out.

Granted, there’s no shortage of calendar apps for Android. The stock one is usually enough for many people, and we’re big fans of Agenda Calendar. Week Calendar is $1.99 and available now at Google Play.
