Another month, another round of updates to Windows and other Microsoft products as Patch Tuesday rolls around once again. This batch includes two patches rated ‘critical’, both of which affect Internet Explorer and all versions of Windows after XP.

Sophos’ Naked Security blog notes that it’s unclear if a permanent fix for a widely-reported IE8 vulnerability will make it into the update. As ever, the updates will begin appearing Wednesday morning Australian time.
