Make A DSLR LCD Hood Out Of Old Hotel Key Cards

The DSLR LCD screen once served as little more than a means to view photos you had already taken in the comfort of indoor lighting. Now you can use it as a live monitor and capture photos and video, but it still doesn’t work too well outside. With some old hotel key cards, however, you can fix that problem.

Photographer Maciej Pietuszynski put together this clever hack by taping together a bunch of old key cards with gaffer tape. All you have to do is measure your screen and cut the cards to create a box for it, tape them together and add a rubber band for easy attachment.
