FitCycle Puts Cycling Classes On Your Phone, Kills Exercise Boredom

Android: We’ve discussed how training on an exercise bike is one of the most efficient workout methods, but it’s no fun to just sit on a bike and ride. FitCycle puts workout routines and cycling classes on your phone so you can listen and follow along while you pedal. The app keeps you motivated and keeps your workouts interesting.

The video above is a great walkthrough of the app’s features. You can browse multiple cycling classes through the app and purchase any one of them at any time if you want to try something new. The app comes with one 30-minute class, and additional ones are available for about $1.99 each. Once you own it, you can play it back as much as you like. Each class comes with a soundtrack specifically designed for it, and instructor narration to help keep you going through the workout. You can tweak the music volume (or turn it off entirely) or the instructor volume independently.

FitCycle is designed for stationary bikes with flywheels, although we imagine that’s because it also includes modules on getting to know your exercise bike and how to adjust it. We imagine that magnetic bikes will work just fine if you take what’s applicable and leave what’s not. You can grab it and try it for free at the link below.
