If you’re into knitting, you know it can be tough to keep your wool under control and tangle free. A center-pull ball of wool eliminates a lot of the hassle, and it’s really easy to make your own.
Instructables user LeafingLight shares this surprisingly simple tutorial. Just take any ball or skein of wool, and unravel it completely. Then, start wrapping it around the end of a thin dowel rod into a roughly spherical ball. Once all the wool is re-wrapped around the rod, slip the ball off the end of the dowel, and you’re good to go. Now, you shouldn’t have to worry about the wool getting stuck or unravelling too easily as you work. Check out the source link for the complete tutorial with plenty of photos.
