Windows Store Apps Get Azure Active Directory Developer Support

Microsoft has released a beta version of code to use Windows Azure Active Directory to authenticate users in Windows Store applications — handy if you want to link corporate resources to 'modern' Windows apps. Details at the AD blog. [Active Directory Team Blog]

I've been wanting to develop apps using the system.directoryservices namespace for Windows Phone and Windows Store apps for years...given that the differentiator for Microsoft's tablet platform is the appeal to the enterprise space, I can't believe this is only just finding its way in now, and even then only for Azure!

Surely MS realise that developers want to make productivity based apps (rather than Angry Birds clones or news readers) that authenticate against a corporate AD? Considering MS are trying to attract devs, its amazing how much they've hamstrung them with the .NET libraries that are excluded from these platforms.
