Koalcat’s Clear Is The Closest You’ll Get To Clear For Android

Android: The developers of Clear, the beautifully minimalist to-do app for the iPhone, have no plans for an Android release. If you like the UI and the focused approach to managing your to-dos, Koalcat’s Clear is an unofficial clone that captures the smart UI and features of its iOS inspiration. Oh, and it’s free.

Koalcat’s Clear looks and works just like the iOS version. You can see it in action in the video above. When you open the app, you get a single to-do list with your most important items at the top, and less important ones further down. Like the iOS version, there are no menus or buttons: long-press and drag to reorder to-dos, scroll through your items, swipe right to complete a to-do, swipe left to delete it, and swipe two fingers in from the left and right to create a new to-do in between two existing ones. The whole app is gesture-based.

The developer notes that Koalcat’s Clear also supports lists, double-tap to edit notes, and even themes. He’s working on syncing with Google Tasks, and a home screen widget, so if you must have those, stay tuned. Hit the link below to give the app a try.
