Cook Your Cupboard Wants Photos Of Unused Items In Your Pantry

Have a few ingredients in your cupboard you’re not sure what to do with? Cook Your Cupboard wants to see them. Send in your submission and a panel of chefs may get back to you to let you know the best way to use the ingredients.

Cook Your Cupboard is a project by NPR’s Morning Edition, and if your photo is one of the ones selected by the panel of chefs involved, that’s where you’ll hear your cooking advice. Even if your shot isn’t selected, there’s a community of home cooks and foodies at the site offering suggestions on how to prepare everything from agar agar and dried pineapple rings to dried kombu.

You can either follow the tumblr to get involved, submit your own photo, or visit the site from your mobile phone to take and upload a photo. Maybe you picked something up on a whim, or you wanted to experiment but now you’re out of ideas — in either case, the site can help.
