  • After barely nine months of conception time, the Android-based Ouya ‘indie console’ has made its first physical appearance in the wild. The Kickstarter-funded games console was shipped to early backers this week. Watch the unboxing video here.

  • NBN Co plans to exercise Federal powers to force its fibre onto the pole in the ongoing stoush with NSW energy providers. The company building the National Broadband Network has accused the state’s energy providers of hiking up access rates to power poles which are needed to run overhead fibre cable. NSW was looking to charge NBN Co $140 per pole, compared to between $30 and $40 per pole in Victoria. Read the full report at Business Insider.
