This Week In Smartphone Software Updates: Telstra, Optus, Vodafone

After a few weeks on hiatus, we now have Telstra updates, and there are a lot!

Samsung Galaxy Nexus — Android 4.1 Jelly Bean should now be available for all Telstra customers. Telstra has been conducting a four-stage roll-out of the update to manage the load which should have been completed on 4 March. Check the post to see the roll-out times.

HTC One XL — Android 4.1 Jelly Bean now available.

HTC One S — Waiting for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean submission from HTC.

Motorola RAZR M — Android 4.1 Jelly Bean now available.

Nokia Lumia 920 — Windows Phone GDR1 update now available.

HTC 8X — Windows Phone GDR1 update now available.

Samsung Galaxy S III — Android 4.1.2 update now available, rolled-out to fix what Samsung is calling a “serious issue”. Read more about it here.

  • Unsure what “GDR1” is, as WP really doesn’t specify version information that way.

Curiously – my prepaid lumia still says it’s carrier is Telstra (though i’m with Optus) and I have seen no updates in the last few weeks.

  • I too would also like to know what this GDR1 update is? Do u guys do any research on these updates to help ur readers, or is it just a copy and paste job from the Telstra CrowdSupport forum?
