ProBueno Lets You Turn Your Talents Into Charity Donations

ProBueno is a new web app that lets you put your talents to good use. Whether your talents involve playing video games, coding and app development, baking biscuits or something else, you can volunteer your skills in exchange for charitable donations to the non-profit organisation of your choice.

ProBueno is a new service that lets you take some of the skills you may not have thought would be useful for volunteering and put them to good use. For example, if you’re willing to give guitar lessons, you can create an entry at ProBueno, select a charity or non-profit that you want to donate to, and make your skills available to anyone willing to donate to that charity on your behalf. You offer your skills to the person who makes the donation, and the charity gets the money.

The service is designed to help take the guesswork out of fundraising for a charity, especially if you’re not sure what you can do to help aside from just give your own money. If you don’t have a lot of money to give, but you do have a skill to offer, ProBueno can help match you up with someone willing to make the donation in exchange for your skills.

Similarly, if you have the money to donate and wouldn’t mind getting some web development work done for you in exchange for a donation, ProBueno can match you up with someone who can help.

The service just added the Khan Academy to its list of organisations, but it already has over 1.2 million non-profits in its database for you to choose from. When you sign up (via Facebook, LinkedIn or just by email address/password) you can choose from a list of skills, or provide your own, then add your listing and how much you’d like someone to donate in exchange for your help.

The goal of ProBueno is to show that sometimes you don’t have to be the one with the deep pockets to do good and contribute to a cause that’s meaningful to you. For more information on how the site works, check out the info page or hit the link below to sign up.
