Make A Rug Out Of Plastic Bags

Make A Rug Out Of Plastic Bags

We may reuse the plastic bags we pick up from various stores, but they often end up in a landfill anyway, because they get used for picking up dog poo or collecting garbage. If you really want to reuse old plastic bags, you can wave a floor rug that’s actually pretty cool.

The folks over at Homestead Weaver put together this DIY project with plastic bags and a loom, but their instructions note that you can still make the rug by knitting or crocheting if you don’t have weaving equipment (which is likely the case).

The result is actually pretty cool, and it’s a great way to use those bags that would otherwise turn into garbage. However, if you don’t need a rug you can also make a placemat, tote bag, or even a pair of sandals. Thanks for the tip, Matt!

  • Also; why does your US site have a MUCH more sophisticated comment system than the Australian one? This system forces NEW comments onto the LAST page, and even then – to comment at all you need to GO to the last page, which doesn’t do so using ajax – it stops whatever video/etc might be playing on the page and completely refreshes.. If nothing else, consider the infrastructure overheads attached to such wasted bandwidth..

If you’re going to give us syndicated content, at least give us the same tools.. We aren’t second class citizens and we’re sick of being treated that way. Not that you will probably even read this comment, or care.

  • *a second also*

While looking into if this WAS syndicated content or not – I found the author Adam Dachis other work –

As half drunk as I am – how the fuck can you justify such bullshit. Shock value? Sex sells? Well, at an average of 100 views per post I can honestly say it fucking doesn’t. And you aren’t funny, this shit (whatever it’s intent) just comes across as purely immature, especially from an obviously aspiring online media creator.

I mean.. Jesus.. Some of this stuff.. At least make it funny if you’re going to appeal to the 11-15 year old market..

    • Once again, not implying you will even see this as i’m sure it’s probably automatically syndicated or, more likely, you just don’t care – but it should be pointed out to people and I will be posting this on some of your other posts just for clarity for “your” readers when considering your opinions..
