If you’re a parent, you’re probably taking lots of photos of your children. One way to make those important photos more captivating is to get down to your child’s level.

The Digital Camera Photography blog points out that we typically see toddlers from above. Photos of them from this angle, however, aren’t as interesting as angles you don’t normally see.

“If you’re not crawling around on the ground, you’re too high!” says writer Abhishek Raj.

While you’re crawling around on the floor, get in closer rather than cropping for a more dramatic shot.
