Shiny Groove Is A Good-Looking Grooveshark Player For Mac

Mac: Shiny Groove is a feature-packed Grooveshark player that lets you listen to your entire library of music, browse your playlists, or search and discover new music. It can be all done from a minimalist mini-player that supports keyboard shortcuts, multimedia keys, headphone controls and the Apple remote.

Grooveshark is one of our favourite streaming music services, and while it looks great on the web, the desktop app could be better. Shiny Groove is still in beta, but it’s a remarkably polished player that makes up for what the official desktop app lacks.

Shiny Groove can be controlled with media keys or remote controls, supports key commands, and packs in all of the features of Grooveshark on the web. You can expand the player to get full access to your playlists, search and other features, and then minimise it to the mini-player when you’re ready to listen.

The app downloads and displays artwork for you, and flips it over as the songs change. Grab the player and shake your mouse to hide it from the desktop, or use the menubar icon to toggle visibility. Shiny Groove is free while it’s in beta. Give it a try at the link below.
