matchFWD Uses Your Social Profiles To Find You The Perfect Job

Traditional job sites don’t do a very good job at tailoring opportunities to your experience or preferences. MatchFWD is a new job search site that uses your profiles from LinkedIn and Facebook to help you find a job that matches your skills and work history.

When you sign up for matchFWD, you’re invited to use your Facebook or LinkedIn accounts to get started. From there, it imports your work history, personal bio, and asks you a few questions about your job-hunting goals. The wizard will walk you through building your profile and setting it to public (so anyone can search for and see you), stealth (companies can find your profile and skills, just not your name — so you can browse privately) or private (no one knows you’re there).

The service even pulls in a few opportunities to get you started. You can give the site feedback as to whether the opportunity is a good one or not, and if it is, you can apply immediately. If you would rather play matchmaker, you can invite your friends or share jobs you see on the site with your LinkedIn or Facebook friends. If you are an employer looking for talent, you can list your jobs on the site as well.

MatchFWD is a brand new service, so don’t be surprised if there aren’t jobs in your specific field or region just yet.
